Duties & Responsibilities
Execute culinary techniques to cook and finish dishes as per the recipes and standards set by the Head Chef.Assists in the preparation of ingredients and mise en place for daily service, ensuring all items are of the highest quality and freshness.Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service and efficient communication during peak hours.Contributes to the artistic presentation of dishes, paying attention to detail and maintaining consistency in plating.Maintains a clean and organised workspace, following strict sanitation and safety guidelines to ensure food safety and hygiene.Assist in quality control measures to ensure that all dishes leaving the kitchen meet our standards.Assist in the monitoring of inventory levels of ingredients and supplies to ensure timely stock rotation and restocking. Assist in the measures to reduce waste and minimise costs wherever possible, while maintaining high standards of food quality and service. Continuously seek to expand culinary knowledge and skills through training and mentorship from senior chefs.Carries out other job-related duties as required.
