Our historic Hotel, with its Michelin‑starred Italian restaurant and a locally inspired Spa where you can spend afternoons in pure indulgence, is just steps away from the cultural heart of Florence. /ph3About the role /h3pFour Seasons Hotel Firenze is currently seeking a motivated Pastry Commis de Partie to join the team. In this role, the selected candidate will be responsible for preparing a variety of sweet items, including pastries, cakes, ice creams, sorbets, and fruit compotes, in accordance with guest orders and banquet event requirements. The position requires adherence to production guidelines and quality standards while maintaining a safe and sanitary working environment. /ph3What you will do /h3pPrepare a variety of pastry items with consistency and precision, following recipe guidelines as well as production, portion, and presentation standards. Set up and organize your station, ensuring all mise en place is ready for breakfast, lunch, and dinner service. Prepare ingredients and products in advance while carefully aligning production with forecasted needs to minimize waste. Operate, maintain, and ensure the proper cleaning of all kitchen equipment, including ovens, mixers, food processors, slicers, steamers, and other pastry tools. /ppFollow food safety and storage procedures by properly labeling, dating, and rotating ingredients while maintaining optimal temperatures for all perishable items. Monitor stock levels, identify shortages, and support efficient kitchen operations by ensuring proper preparation and line set‑up. Contribute to controlling food costs by minimizing waste and adhering to company policies on food handling and usage. /ppSupport the team with preparation for upcoming shifts, and assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment.
